Salary Range:
$60K - $75K (CAD)
As a Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for delivering a great client experience that results in strong and lasting client relationships. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

Review, prepare and draft client payrolls including on-boarding and off-boarding of employees, wage changes, and other pay elements for final client approval and processing

Oversee complete end-to-end payroll processing including provincial and year-end tax reporting and filings

Audit and review payroll details for inconsistencies, reporting, and reconciliation

Provide timely responses to client questions and manage client expectations

Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor or engagement partner and develop resolutions

Provide coverage for colleagues as needed

Contribute to innovation, which may include initiating process improvement, documenting new or updated procedures, developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives
Qualifications

Payroll Compliance Professional designation or equivalent experience

Ability to work both independently, with little supervision, but willing to ask questions or obtain assistance when needed

Skilled in learning new programs and systems

Strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities

Passion for excellent client services

Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal
