[Hiring] Payment Reimbursement Analyst @Sarah Cannon Research Institute

Role Description

The Payment Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of vendor invoice review, reconciliation, and sending for payment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual and regulatory standards. This role serves as a liaison between vendors, internal departments, and sponsors to resolve billing discrepancies, support reimbursement workflows, and maintain financial integrity across the vendor payment lifecycle.

This is a remote position based in the US; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

• Facilitate the contracting for SCRI vendors utilized by SCRI managed sites
• Review, reconcile and process SCRI vendor invoices (containing medical terminology, drug names and CPT codes) for accurate and timely payment
• Promptly review all HCFA/UB vendor claim forms for payment and work with high volume vendors to transition to a data file submission and an appropriate cadence
• Review and understand Vendor Contracts, for accurate invoice payment and effective conversations with vendors regarding their payment expectations
• Review and understand Coverage Analysis documents for determinations relating to Research vs. Standard of Care and how that impacts reimbursement
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred; experience may be substituted for education.
• Minimum 3 years' professional expertise in interpreting and analyzing complex contractual language and budgets.
• Advanced research and analytical techniques for financial data evaluation.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced), and other financial systems.
