[Hiring] Part-Time Accountant @VETERANS MOVING FORWARD

Role Description

Veterans Moving Forward is looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our passionate team. Responsibilities:

• Balance and maintain accurate ledgers bank accounts.
• Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management.
• Monitor office expenses and enter cash receipts.
• Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances.
• Develop monthly financial statements to include statement of activities, statement of financial position, and profit and loss reports.
• Process payroll and track payroll data.
• Assist with tax payments and returns.
• Assist with charitable state registrations.
• Record financial transactions, reconcile bank statements and record keeping for VMF.
• Work with the Senior Staff and other vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience working accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, etc.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Experience with data entry and record keeping.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Fluent in QuickBooks.
