Role Description

The Homeward Mortgage Team is responsible for conducting the financial review and approval of every customer that works with Homeward. We’re focused on bringing financial innovations to life and delivering a seamlessly integrated mortgage experience. We are the newest team at Homeward and are looking for subject matter experts and business people with an entrepreneur's mindset and ability to get stuff done.

As part of the team, you’ll be ensuring that Homeward’s customers move quickly and efficiently through the mortgage transaction ensuring all important dates are met. Your role is to deliver a seamless approval and closing experience to every Homeward customer. This position will challenge your ability to manage complex operational processes while working cross-functionally with other teams including product, engineering, and customer experience among others.

• Responsible for assembling, preparing, and reviewing/verifying documents for a loan closing while ensuring all applicable state, federal, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Prepare Closing Disclosures (Initial & Revised) in Encompass and complete an accurate and compliant Closing Disclosure to be provided to the borrower within the TRID timing guideline requirements.
• Monitor the borrower’s receipt of the Closing Disclosure.
• Ensure accuracy of documents sent to closing, including but not limited to borrower names, rate, term and loan type, first payment date and escrow information.
• Analyze and interpret compliance reports (MAVENT).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices, procedures, and mortgage loan documentation (3+ years of relevant prior experience preferred).
• Encompass experience is a plus.
• LendingPad experience is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high production environment.
• The drive to build something new.
• Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
