[Hiring] Master Data Specialist @Hitachi

Role Description

As a Master Data Support Specialist, you will support the Sales function by ensuring customer master data is accurate, complete, and established in a timely manner. You will:

• Process requests to create and update customer master data records, including Sold-To, Bill-To, and Ship-To accounts.
• Validate required data fields and ensure alignment with internal standards and naming conventions.
• Maintain accurate customer records in the MDG system and other applicable tools.
• Review and verify customer documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance guidelines.
• Submit and track customer master data requests through the MDG system and follow up on pending approvals or issues.
• Serve as a point of contact for Sales regarding customer master data requests, status updates, and account selection for order entry.
• Identify data quality issues and support data cleansing, standardization, validation, and process improvement activities.
• Assist with testing, validation, and documentation of customer master data processes and related system changes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in master data, customer setup, order management, sales operations, or order-to-cash support preferred.
• Experience working with MDG systems, ERP tools, CRM tools, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Ability to learn and navigate MDG, ERP, and related systems, including SAP and CRM platforms.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work closely with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, maintain data accuracy and completeness, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
