Role Description

You will provide and interpret data from accounting records and coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs. In this role, you will oversee the management of such processes as fixed assets, leases, intercompany cross charges, new accounting rules, restructuring programs, and accounting for joint ventures, among others. This role may also include people management responsibilities.
How you will contribute:

Manage elements of the monthly accounting close process including ensuring accurate and timely U.S. GAAP/local GAAP reporting and the timeliness and integrity of local financial reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and KPIs.

Provide insights into balance sheet movements and cash flow and support implementation of process change projects.

Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and ensure full compliance with our AER policies.

Coordinate accounting services and integrate them with operating needs.

Lead projects to drive for harmonization, efficiencies, and improvements to ways of working on AER processes and systems such as SAP, SLAN, and FIT/HFM reporting tools.

Build a high-performing Accounting and External Reporting (AER) team (Mondelēz International employees and Mondelēz International Business Services business partner).

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding of U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes, and financial reporting systems.

Requirements
You will be working as the technical expert for SAP and other Non-SAP finance systems and lead the implementation of various finance applications. This role includes working closely with the Process experts and the Enterprise architects to understand the way various applications work, lead projects on implementation of new tools/applications. The role will contribute in building the transformation roadmap for the Finance function and own implementation of the same. This may also include people management responsibilities.
How you will contribute:

Have deep technical hands-on experience of S4 Hana application Finance modules.

Have technical experience with key finance solutions such as Blackline, GLSU including connectivity to SAP S4 and ECC.

Support Global Solution Owner in future-state road mapping activities and actively contribute to technical innovation activities within Finance.

Collect business requirements, complete technical assessment and co-ordinate with Technical teams for system changes and continuous improvement utilizing existing systems.

Provide functional SME expertise in a project team to execute and support project lifecycle including blueprint, build, integration testing, and implementation.

Ensure support of financial reporting and close activities for any technical issues.

Coordinate project teams consisting of business analysts and specialists from other business groups, in order to resolve complex issues in the SAP environment.

Partners with AER Tower lead, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements for implementation of Finance projects.

Responsible to implement new solutions as per the architecture design by GSO, Enterprise Architects, and Solution Architects.

Support projects leveraging an external partner strategy.

Provide support for Non-SAP applications for Record to report function.

Lead incidents resolution or technical enquiries.

Manage contracts for applications in scope, monitors licenses utilization.

Work collaboratively with Business Process Excellence (BPE) counterparts to ensure harmonization of processes and system design.

Collaborates with management and follow-up of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments of vendors for Non-SAP applications.
