Role Description
The Loan Specialist will participate in an 8-week training program for Processors. This position is fully remote and starts on Monday, 6/1. The working hours are from 9am to 5pm CST, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of $17.50/hr plus $150 per closed loan file.
Primary responsibilities include:

Supporting Sr. Processors and Processing Manager by performing a variety of loan documentation duties.

Entering information into Encompass.

Following up and communicating with customers and loan officers to obtain missing or updated documentation.

Processing mortgage loan files in a timely manner.

Communicating clearly and effectively with multiple parties.

Multitasking and managing an assigned pipeline to meet closing expectations.
Qualifications

Demonstrate advanced product knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and other loan programs such as Home Equity Lines of Credit, 2nd Mortgages, Home Improvement, down payment assistance, and bond programs.

Demonstrate working knowledge of federal and state guidelines, rules, and regulations such as RESPA, TILA, HMDA, etc.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to use creative thinking to find solutions to problems.

1-2 years of current experience in processing mortgage loans.

Proficient with Encompass or other paperless mortgage loan origination systems.

Understanding of all compliance regulations and investor guidelines.
