Role Description
The Bilingual Specialist (English & French) Loan Quality Control will support mortgage quality review to verify vendor's underwriting practice following BMO’s requirements.

Proficiency in both English and French is required.

Underwriting experience of residential mortgages is highly preferred.

Executes work and audits files to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient service delivery.

Ensures consistent, high-quality practices/work and the achievement of business results in alignment with business/group strategies and productivity goals.

Analyzes root causes of any errors discovered during underwriting to provide effective communication and coaching.
-
Provides ongoing support to the continuous improvement process of the business unit.

Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
-
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

Works mostly independently.
-
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
-
Typically, between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Underwriting experience of residential mortgages is highly preferred.

Bilingual skills will be considered an asset.

Verbal & written communication skills (English & French) - In-depth.

Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
-
Analytical and problem-solving skills - In-depth.

Fluent in French and English to support business operations outside the province of Quebec.
Requirements

Salary: $45,000.00 - $100,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked.

For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
