Role Description

As a Loan Originator Assistant, you will partner directly with Loan Originators, clients, and Realtors to support the full lifecycle of every loan from application to close.
What You'll Do

Facilitate the completion of loan applications and coordinate collection of documentation including credit reports, run DU/LP/AUS, prepare loan files for processing, and send closing cost worksheets to borrowers.

Serve as a primary point of contact coordinating discussions between the Loan Originator, referral partners, and clients throughout the full lifecycle of the loan process.

Promote Envoy's products to Real Estate Agents, home buyers, and referral sources while tracking and managing follow-ups consistently.

Assist Loan Processors with putting scenarios together for prospective clients by researching client scenarios against underwriting and investor guidelines.

Manage a pipeline of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans along with 203K and reverse mortgage products.

Request and gather relevant information and documents from borrowers to complete loan applications, structure, and all required disclosures.

Enter loan applications into the Loan Origination System (LOS) and assign to the appropriate Originator or LOA.

Review all loan package paperwork for inconsistencies, omissions, and inaccurate income calculations, reporting any errors to the Originator immediately.

Call and obtain conditions from borrowers and Realtors to clear conditions as necessary, keeping transactions moving toward close.

Monitor loan progress and communicate effectively with borrowers and all transaction parties on status updates throughout the process.

Research investor guidelines and stay current on program changes that affect processing or originating of loans in the pipeline.

Communicate loan approvals by sending pre-approval and commitment letters to all parties involved in the transaction.

Coordinate closing details with clients including final payment, rate, and cash to close figures.

Review all closing statements and compare to signed loan estimate worksheets before signings, correcting any discrepancies.

Review, create, and deliver disclosure and re-disclosure packages to borrowers and document all required receipts.

Facilitate timely closings by working directly with the Title Company and client to schedule and confirm all closing logistics.

Order appraisals and third-party services including VOE, Title, certifications, and related documents to create complete loan packages for processing.

Develop a complete working knowledge of Envoy's products, systems, competitive advantages, processes, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications

3 to 5+ years of experience as a Loan Originator Assistant, Loan Partner, Processor, Loan Officer, or Underwriter preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree is a plus.

Working knowledge of Desktop Underwriter/Desktop Originator (DU/DO), Loan Prospector (LP), and originating systems; Encompass experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong understanding of the residential mortgage banking process including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203K, and reverse mortgage products.

Ability to analyze issues and create effective resolutions while managing multiple loan files concurrently.

Exceptional follow-up, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent customer service skills and genuine comfort working in a team environment.

Compensation ranges from $21.64 to $31.25 per hour plus a bonus plan
