[Hiring] Junior Accountant @Network Finance

Role Description

Our client is a multinational travel and tourism agency on an exciting growth trajectory and they're looking for a Junior Accountant to join their expanding finance team. The role is fully remote, but you’ll need to be Gauteng-based.

You'll work across a growing, international business where no two days are quite the same. Think multi-entity, potentially multi-currency accounting, plenty of learning opportunities and a team that values initiative over hand-holding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping through to balance sheet
• Process and reconcile financial transactions
• Assist with month-end close and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records across entities
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support finance reporting and ad hoc analysis
• Assist with improving finance processes and efficiencies

Qualifications

• BCom Degree essential
• 1 to 3 years' accounting experience
• Travel & Tourism, DMC, Hospitality or Property experience highly beneficial
• Multi-entity / multi-currency experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Good MS Excel skills
• Experience with Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks or Xero
• Smart, curious and eager to learn
• Strong communication skills - this is important!
• Takes initiative
• Positive energy, problem-solving mindset and a genuine go-getter attitude
• Gauteng-based and comfortable working remotely
