[Hiring] Fund Accountant @Exceed Human Resource Consultants

Role Description

We manage a growing range of open- and closed-ended private credit funds that lend to fintechs across emerging markets, backed by development finance institutions, impact investors and other institutional investors.

• Support monthly and quarterly NAV reporting cycles, including the preparation of interim monthly NAVs to be reconciled to the Administrator’s NAVs
• Maintain loan-level accounting across portfolios
• Prepare draft management and performance fee calculations and reconciliation
• Record fund expenses as part of shadow NAV
• Prepare calculations and process capital calls and investor drawdowns
• Reconcile investor distributions and reinvestments as part of the NAV process
• Assist with managing drawdowns and repayments on fund subscription lines and NAV facilities
• Support the production of management information and financial reporting across designated funds
• Support the provision of accurate, timely data for investor reporting, and respond to ad hoc investor requests
• Coordinate annual fund audit requirements for allocated funds
• Gather and prepare inputs for external tax advisers
• Assist with preparation of annual budgets, and preparation of board packs
• Contribute ideas to improve fund accounting processes using AI tools, scripts and code
• Prepare covenant compliance reporting for lenders

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience
• Currently working in fund accounting or fund administration
• Experience of closed- and open-ended fund structures and core fund accounting processes, including NAV production, subscriptions and redemptions, investor allocations and financial statement preparation
• Experience in private credit or private debt is preferred
• Exposure to loan-level accounting or fund financing facilities would be a plus
• Solid IFRS knowledge, with exposure to Luxembourg GAAP or US GAAP a plus
• Strong spreadsheet skills in Google Sheets or Excel
• Confident, hands-on use of AI tools to improve how work gets done
