Role Description
The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate information for strategic and operational decisions. The role involves:

Collecting, compiling, verifying, and analyzing financial information and economic indicators.

Providing senior management with accurate and timely information for decision-making regarding acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or asset sales.

Analyzing costs of proposed investments or transactions to evaluate alternatives against business objectives.

Evaluating industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's financial and competitive position.

Analyzing revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates.

Involving financial modeling, reporting, and budgeting.

Advising executives to develop functional strategies on significant matters.

Exercising independence on complex issues regarding job responsibilities and related tasks.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, or equivalent.

2+ years of project leadership experience.

Working knowledge of coding using SQL, SAS, or similar tools.

Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies.

Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting.

Prior experience developing methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses.

Lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships.

Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
