[Hiring] Financial Leadership Partner @The Herring Group

Role Description

The Herring Group is seeking a Financial Leadership Partner (CFO Level Consultant) to work remotely, with a commitment of 30 to 35 hours per week during business hours.

• Hold a portfolio of SMB clients (companies with $3M to $50M in revenue) as their outsourced financial leader.
• Own the models, forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs that leadership actually uses.
• Help owners and management teams translate numbers into decisions every month.
• Push clients on pricing, labor efficiency, and margin improvement.
• Contribute to improving methodology, delivery, and tools for future clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or an MBA required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial leadership with titles such as CFO, Controller, FP&A Director, or Business Owner.
• Hands-on experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses ($3M to $100M+ in annual revenue).
• Proven ability to drive profitability improvement, margin expansion, and cash flow optimization through financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, dashboards, and analytics tools.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Previous business owner or entrepreneurial experience considered a strong plus.
• Must reside in Texas or Georgia.
