[Hiring] Financial Controller @Vinterior

Role Description

As Financial Controller, you’ll own the day-to-day running of Vinterior’s finance function, reporting directly to our Founder & CEO, Sandrine, and managing our Finance Manager. This is a broad, hands-on role in a small team.

• Keep accounts accurate, cash well managed, and reporting timely.
• Take ownership of financial controls, compliance, and improvements.
• Get involved in practical contractual and people administration questions.
• Enjoy understanding how things work, investigating discrepancies, and seeing problems through to resolution.
• Comfortable moving between detailed financial work and conversations about budgets, profitability, and business priorities.
• Scope to grow into Head of Finance and, over time, Finance Director.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or substantial equivalent experience.
• Experience in month-end accounts, reconciliations, cash forecasting, and budgeting.
• Ability to work in a small business environment with broad responsibilities.
• Strong investigative skills and pride in getting things right.
• Sound judgement and commercial curiosity.
• Clear communication skills with colleagues outside finance.
• Experience in supporting and developing a colleague, delegating effectively, and managing external accounting relationships.
• Confidence with accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial modelling.
• Ability to work independently in a remote team while staying connected, responsive, and organised.
• Experience in a marketplace, e-commerce business, or founder-led company is useful.
