Role Description

Own the cash flow forecast that helps a growing DTC brand make confident decisions, protect runway, and scale sustainably.

Our client is a growing, remote-first company strengthening its finance function to support data-driven planning and sustainable growth. This is a Financial and Cash Flow Specialist role with a strong FP&A focus:

• Cash flow modeling
• P&L management
• Budgeting
• Forecasting
• Scenario planning for an e-commerce / direct-to-consumer business

You’ll translate financial data into practical insights leaders can act on, and you’ll keep models accurate as assumptions change. If you like precision, clean models, and being the person stakeholders trust for “what’s the real impact?”, you’ll do well here.

Responsibilities

• Build and own cash flow, P&L, and budgeting/forecasting models that leadership can rely on for planning and multi-scenario decisions
• Run budgeting and re-forecast cycles, updating assumptions based on actual performance and the drivers behind it (revenue, margin, spend, working capital)
• Own monthly P&L tracking and variance analysis versus budget and forecast, turning results into clear takeaways (not just numbers)
• Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, flagging risks early and recommending optimization options
• Deliver clear, decision-ready reporting for leadership (insights, trends, and recommended actions)
• Produce ad hoc financial analysis, including sensitivity analysis and what-if modeling to support strategic and operational decisions
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders so models reflect real commercial and operational drivers (and assumptions stay grounded)
• Improve forecasting accuracy over time by tightening inputs, documenting assumptions, and refining model structure as the business evolves

Qualifications

• Hands-on expertise in FP&A / financial analysis with strong cash flow forecasting, P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting ownership
• Proven experience supporting a US-based, omni-channel consumer brand across e-commerce, wholesale, Amazon, and other sales channels
• Strong experience building and maintaining complex financial models for planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis (Excel or Google Sheets)
• Track record creating recurring financial reporting and performing variance analysis against budget/forecast with clear explanations
• Experience delivering actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional partners (you can translate finance into decisions)
• Ability to work full-time aligned with U.S. Pacific Time business hours and communicate clearly in English in a fully remote setup

Requirements

• Experience in beauty, consumer goods, or similar inventory-driven e-commerce categories
• Working knowledge of working capital dynamics (inventory planning, payment terms, cash conversion cycle) and how they affect cash runway
• Familiarity with e-commerce data sources and drivers (shop platforms, ad spend, returns, discounts, payment processing fees) and modeling their impact
• Experience improving finance processes as a company grows (standardizing templates, tightening forecast cadence, improving reporting packages)
