Role Description
We are seeking a qualified accountant with strong systems and project management experience to own the transformation of our internal inventory system. This is an individual contributor role at the intersection of finance operations, product management, and technology. You will act as product owner for the inventory platform β driving enhancements, integrations, and data migrations end-to-end. In a tech-crunch environment, you must be self-sufficient: comfortable building tools, scripts, and AI-driven workflows independently to solve problems without a dedicated engineering team.
Responsibilities
-
Own the inventory system roadmap: plan enhancements, draft BRDs/PRDs, and lead end-to-end delivery from design through UAT to release.
-
Lead UAT cycles: define test plans, execute QA, and sign off before deployment.
-
Troubleshoot system issues β build self-service diagnostic scripts where possible rather than relying on engineering.
-
Drive ERP integration and build automated data pipelines when engineering support is unavailable.
-
Plan and execute data migrations with scripting and AI-assisted tooling for validation and reconciliation.
-
Identify, design, and implement automation and AI-driven workflows across finance operations (JE generation, bank reconciliation, data extraction, reporting, exception handling).
-
Build and maintain self-service tools, dashboards, and scripts (Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, low-code platforms) to enable the finance team to operate independently.
-
Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools (LLMs, copilots, RPA) into day-to-day operations to reduce manual effort.
-
Maintain system documentation β leverage AI to keep BRDs, runbooks, and user guides current.
-
Support ad-hoc finance transformation initiatives with a bias toward scalable, repeatable solutions over one-off manual work.
Qualifications
-
8β10 years in FinTech, Financial Services, or fast-moving tech environments.
-
Qualified accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent) with multi-currency accounting experience.
-
Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Workday, NetSuite) including integrations or migrations.
-
Proven UAT leadership for finance or enterprise systems.
-
Hands-on ability to build tools independently β Python, SQL, and/or VBA; comfortable with low-code platforms.
-
Demonstrated experience using AI tools (LLMs, copilots, RPA) to automate analysis, documentation, testing, or workflows.
-
Strong Excel skills for large-dataset reconciliation and data validation.
-
Self-starter comfortable operating autonomously in ambiguous, resource-constrained environments.
-
Strong stakeholder management across operators and senior leadership.
-
Passion for crypto and blockchain technology.
