[Hiring] Finance Summer Student @Anovia

Role Description

Anovia is seeking a motivated Finance Summer Student to support the transition to Xero as our core financial platform and assist the finance team during the summer vacation period (April 2026 – August 2026).

• Build, customize, and maintain financial reports in Xero.
• Assist with general accounting and finance tasks (e.g., reconciliations, reporting support).
• Support ongoing Xero implementation and process refinement.
• Perform routine finance activities typically handled by full-time staff during vacation periods.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks as required.
• Work collaboratively with finance and operations team members in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college or university program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Practical experience using Xero, including financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting and financial concepts.
• Proficiency with Excel or similar spreadsheet tools.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Completion of most academic requirements (final year or near completion).
• Prior co-op, internship, or work-term experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience supporting month-end or management reporting.
• Located in Saint John, NB (preferred but not required).

A Note on Location

This is a fully remote position. Preference will be given to candidates located in or near Saint John, NB, as occasional in-person collaboration may be beneficial.
