Role Description
This is not a reporting role. It's ownership of the financial engine for a portfolio of growing software businesses. You'll be accountable end-to-end for the accounting integrity of your portfolio:

Closing the books accurately.

Building and leading a team of local finance experts to meet French statutory and regulatory requirements.

Ensuring every number that reaches Everfield's leadership is right and on time.
You'll sit next to Business Unit Leaders as their financial conscience and commercial sparring partner:

Coaching them on the numbers.

Challenging their growth plans.
-
Pushing them to allocate resources where they'll actually compound.
Everfield deliberately gives this role more scope than a typical FP&A or controller seat carries at this career stage:

Qualifications
-
An ambitious problem-solver who wants this role to be a stepping stone towards a CFO or Controller position.

Strong technical grounding in accounting practices and controls.
-
Commercial instinct to challenge growth plans.
-
A completed university education plus a professional finance qualification (CA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent).

5+ years in Business Controlling, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering.
-
Ability to lead and build a team of regional finance specialists.
-
Comfort operating in a decentralised, multi-entity, PE-backed environment.

Fluent in English and French; effective communicator at every level of an organisation.

Ideally, a background in fast-growing technology or SaaS companies.

Willingness to travel occasionally.
Requirements

Be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of monthly reporting (management P&L, KPIs, operating metrics) for each business in your portfolio.

Build and manage a team of local financial experts to meet French statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.

Guide each business's finance and accounting team through migration onto Everfield's NetSuite instance.

Own the accuracy and timeliness of the underlying accounting work behind every number you report.

Build and defend annual budgets and rolling forecasts, incorporating strategic initiatives and long-term expectations.

Prepare Quarterly Update Review (QUR) packs for Everfield's CEO, CFO, and COO.

Coach Business Unit Leaders on financial acumen.

Challenge and support Business Unit Leaders in applying Everfield's prescribed revenue system.

Help each business spot operating efficiencies, report headcount accurately, and manage overhead with intent.

Partner with Business Unit Leaders on charting expense management and aligning resources toward growth.

Play an active role in integration of newly acquired businesses.
-
Partner with your Strategic Business Partner (SBP) counterpart on the day-to-day relationship with each business in your region.
