[Hiring] Finance & Accounts Assistant @Remote World

Role Description

You'll support the Head of Finance with bookkeeping, expense management, invoicing, and month-end close. You'll work in Xero and be the person who makes sure nothing slips through the cracks — so the business always knows where it stands financially.

• Process invoices, receipts, and expense claims in Xero
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards weekly
• Chase overdue invoices and manage accounts payable
• Help prepare month-end journals and balance sheet schedules
• Liaise with external accountants on VAT and statutory filings

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Xero or QuickBooks
• Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping basics
• Organised and deadline-driven
• Clear communicator — you can explain a query to a non-finance colleague

Requirements

• Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or studying towards) - nice to have
• Familiarity with Irish VAT regulations - nice to have
• Experience in a startup or fast-growth environment - nice to have
