Role Description
The Division Pricing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing pricing strategies across a defined division to drive profitable growth, margin expansion, and competitive positioning. This role partners closely with Regional and Area Leadership, Sales, and Merchandising to ensure pricing decisions are data-driven, market-aligned, and consistently executed.
Key Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement division-level pricing strategies aligned to enterprise goals and local market dynamics.

Establish pricing guidelines for product categories, customer segments, and branches.

Ensure consistent application of pricing policies across all locations.

Monitor and adjust pricing in response to cost fluctuations, competitive activity, and demand shifts.

Profitability & Performance Management

Analyze margin performance, price realization, and discounting trends across the division.

Identify and address margin leakage, unauthorized discounting, or inconsistent pricing practices.

Drive improvement in gross margin through disciplined pricing execution and optimization initiatives.

Partner with Finance to support forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.

Analytics & Insights

Leverage data analytics to inform pricing decisions, including elasticity, customer segmentation, and competitive benchmarking.

Develop and maintain pricing dashboards and reporting for area and regional leadership.

Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for regional leadership and sales teams.

Field & Stakeholder Partnership

Serve as a key advisor to Regional Vice Presidents, Area Managers, and Area Business Managers, influencing data-driven pricing decisions and building alignment across the field.

Provide guidance on large or strategic customer pricing, bids, and exception approvals.

Collaborate with Sales to balance growth objectives with margin discipline.

Partner with Supply Chain and Merchandising on cost changes, vendor pricing, and product mix strategies.

Governance & Process Improvement

Enforce pricing governance, approval thresholds, and compliance controls.

Lead continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and systems.

Support rollout of pricing initiatives, tools, and training across the division.

Ensure alignment with enterprise pricing strategy and policies.
Qualifications
-
5β8+ years of experience in B2B pricing, commercial strategy, finance, or analytics.

Experience working in a decentralized or branch-based environment preferred.

Proven leadership experience, either through leading projects and driving outcomes or managing teams, with the ability to influence field leadership and drive behavior change.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.

Advanced proficiency in Excel required, and basic proficiency in pricing software (e.g. Pricefx, PROS, Zilliant, Vendavo, etc.), Power BI and SQL preferred.

Bachelorβs degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field (MBA a plus).
