Role Description

The Director of Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Operations will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of revenue cycle functions across medical group, urgent care, and occupational health service lines within BSMH. Oversees front-end revenue cycle performance, including:

• Patient access
• Registration
• Charge capture
• Denial prevention
• Regulatory compliance

Partners closely with market and system clinical, operational, finance, and information technology leaders to:

• Optimize revenue integrity
• Improve financial performance
• Enhance patient financial experience
• Ensure consistent application of policies, processes, and best practices across multiple ambulatory care settings

Utilizes data analytics and key performance indicators to drive operational excellence, achieve productivity and cash collection goals, reduce denials, maintain compliance with payer and government regulations, and support organizational growth initiatives while leading high-performing teams and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The individual will work in a matrix environment with accountability to Medical Group and Revenue Cycle leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Business (required)
• Masters Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience, including ambulatory/professional billing operations, with at least 5 years in leadership roles (required)
• Multi-site or multi-market ambulatory revenue cycle leadership experience; Epic and vendor-partner oversight experience; physician enterprise or medical group experience (preferred)

• Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft suite of tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills

• Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including administrators, physicians, peers, and support staff
