Role Description
Working under the direction of the Sr. Director, Risk, the Director, ACH is responsible for the oversight of merchant accounts to identify, investigate and mitigate activity that represents financial risk to the Company based on Company guidelines.

Manage the oversight of the ACH Origination Program and support the ACH operational functions as needed.

Monitor ACH activity for merchant portfolio(s) and examine for abnormalities, providing detailed analysis to management regarding portfolio performance.

Ensure all merchant activities for compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies and recommend appropriate actions.

Expert in reviewing and analyzing financial, credit and publicly available information to support actions and decisions.

Assess and evaluate business model risk and exposure by evaluating merchant industry type, volume, refunds, delivery time frames and return rates.

SME for all aspects of ACH program.

Manage existing and new policies as they relate to ACH and industry compliance.

Conduct internal and external audit and assessments, addressing any recommendations or findings.

Develop and perform ACH training programs companywide and specific role use.

Monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the program, technology, tools, and processes, recommending improvements with limited oversight.

Support specialized projects on an as-needed basis as directed by Company leadership.

Monitor industry trends and develop strategies for growth for ACH.

Business partners review and oversight for acceptance, requirements, and pricing.

Support diverse tasks within established rules/limits, which may include escalations from other employees and departments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

10+ years of experience engaged in ACH Merchant Risk Program management including monitoring ACH return ratio, POA reviews, remediation, ACH audits, and BSA/AML audits.

Experience with high-risk payment processing and analyzing high risk vertical spreads.

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree, Finance, Business Administration, or similar.

Experience with high-risk ACH payment processing preferred.

AAP, APRP or similar certification a plus or willingness to get certified (Sponsored by Maverick).

Pay Range: $130K - $155K.
