Role Description
As a Controlling Subject Matter Expert (m/f/x), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Analyzing financial data provided by the shared service center to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement, and providing insights and recommendations to departments, the shared service center, and management.

Leading external audits, including the preparation of GAAP bridge and local financial statements for several Companies. Support internal and SOX audit.

Monitoring internal controls related to financial processes and transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices, and identifying control weaknesses with recommended corrective actions.

Driving continuous improvement by staying current with statutory accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and identifying opportunities to enhance processes and procedures. Acting as a key contributor during ongoing organizational changes, ensuring systems, processes, and reporting support effective decision-making.

Ability to lead, organize, and support cross-functional teams on various projects, including system implementations. A driving force in the department’s development and execution of the company’s global Finance strategy.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND at least 7 Years relevant experience in Finance. Previous experience in life sciences is a plus.

Fluency in English.

Expert in accountancy and controlling, preferably in multinational companies.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex cases and act accordingly.

Driving force in Finance, focused on achieving and enabling the company’s strategic goals.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle).
Requirements

German language skills.

Master's degree in Finance from an accredited institution.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a private, public, government or military environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively, working in cross-functional teams.
