Role Description

The Controller, U.S. & Canada, is a key financial leader responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and effectiveness of accounting and financial reporting across Affinitas Education's North American operations. This role ensures that financial information is reliable, timely, and actionable, supporting informed decisions across a diverse network of schools and business entities.

• Oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end and year-end close, budgeting support, internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with regional leadership, school-level teams, and the broader Affinitas finance organization to establish consistent financial processes and reporting practices across the region.

• Detail oriented, understanding that sound financial decisions depend on complete, consistent, and well-organized information.

• A clear communicator, able to explain financial results and complex issues understandably.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and controllership.
• Significant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and controllership, ideally in a multi-entity or multi-location organization.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience overseeing the month-end and year-end close processes.
