Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented Controller to join GlobalTeam and work directly with our client. This role is responsible for leading the company's accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with U.S. GAAP, improving accounting processes, and providing financial insights that support executive decision-making.

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and executive reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and maintain strong internal controls.
• Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage accounting operations across multiple business entities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and oversee allocation methodologies.
• Ensure consistency across departments and business units.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity across all entities.
• Support cash forecasting and working capital management.
• Maintain banking relationships and oversee debt schedules and lender reporting.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare KPI dashboards and variance analyses.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax-related activities.
• Lead accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, and ERP optimization.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team while driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
• Experience managing accounting for companies with $25M–$150M in annual revenue.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.

Requirements

• CPA or equivalent professional certification (Bonus Points).
• Experience supporting private equity-backed or entrepreneur-owned businesses (Bonus Points).
• Background in automotive, retail, franchise, or multi-location service organizations (Bonus Points).
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems (Bonus Points).
• Experience leading remote accounting teams (Bonus Points).
• Experience managing banking relationships, debt reporting, and lender compliance (Bonus Points).
