Are you an experienced actuary who enjoys complex annuity valuation, financial reporting, and solving thorny modeling problems? Join our Retirement Solutions Financial Reporting team and help shape how we measure and manage results across a diverse block of retirement products.
Key Responsibilities

Support quarterly GAAP and statutory valuation, financial reporting, and forecasting for Retirement Solutions products (e.g., fixed and indexed annuities, stable value, protected retirement/in plan guarantee products).

Maintain and enhance GGY AXIS models and related tools ensuring methods remain robust, efficient, and well-controlled.

Partner with Pricing, Controllership, and Valuation to support transactions (e.g., reinsurance, block transfers) and strategic projects that improve capital efficiency and reduce earnings volatility.

Collaborate with peers and leaders to identify and implement process and model improvements that enhance transparency, consistency, and speed-to-decision.
Qualifications

Strong background in retirement product or annuity valuation (GAAP and/or statutory), with experience supporting quarterly closes and/or forecasting.

Hands-on experience with at least one major actuarial modeling platform (e.g., GGY AXIS, MG-ALFA) and comfort working with complex projection models.

Solid data and tooling skills (e.g., SQL, Excel/VBA) with the ability to trace results from model output through to the ledger and financial statements.

Proven ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial partners (finance, controllership, business leadership).

Demonstrated ownership mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities around key reporting deadlines.

ASA Required; FSA or progress towards FSA highly preferred.
Preferred Skills

Experience with LDTI and/or recent reserve methodology changes for annuity business.

Prior exposure to reinsurance structures and their impact on valuation and earnings.

Progress toward FSA with relevant life/annuity exams; ASA required-FSA is a plus.
