[Hiring] Commercial Finance Analyst @Velos IoT

Role Description

Velos IoT is looking for a commercially minded and analytical finance professional to join our Commercial team on a 2–3 month fixed-term contract with an immediate start.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is immediately available, between roles, or looking to gain hands-on experience in a commercially focused finance environment.

You will work closely with the Commercial Director, supporting commercial decision-making through:

• Financial modelling
• Pricing analysis
• Reporting
• Commercial insight

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and maintain commercial, pricing, and margin models in Excel
• Support deal modelling, profitability analysis, and pricing decisions
• Work closely with Sales, Commercial, and FP&A teams on new opportunities
• Translate commercial agreements into financial models and business logic
• Maintain and improve Excel-based tools, pricing models, and reporting processes
• Support rate card management and margin analysis
• Contribute to the development and improvement of commercial tools, pricing models, and reporting processes
• Help prepare commercial review packs, deal handover packs, and senior management presentations
• Support ad hoc commercial and financial analysis in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Pricing, Management Accounting, or a similar analytical finance role
• Experience with pricing analysis, profitability analysis, forecasting, or financial modelling
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complex information into clear business insights
• Excellent communication skills and confidence explaining financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced commercial environment
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail

Requirements

• 2–3 month fixed-term contract
• Salary: £3,000–£3,500 per month
• Immediate start preferred
• UK-based role
• Simple recruitment process: 30-minute HR conversation, followed by a 30-minute meeting with the Hiring Manager. We aim to make a decision quickly.
