Role Description

We are actively hiring for a Commercial Claims Insurance Analyst – Remote. The role involves:

• Supporting overall business strategy through complex analysis and problem-solving.
• Applying insurance knowledge, analytical methodologies, and technical expertise to evaluate business needs.
• Managing a broad range of complex and diverse assignments.
• Participating in larger-scale initiatives and leading smaller projects.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Primarily supporting Commercial Lines of business, with opportunities to assist with Personal Lines analysis.

Your Work

• Performing complex data analysis for assigned client groups.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners to gather insights and validate findings.
• Developing recommendations to improve procedures and identify additional analysis needed.
• Preparing and communicating findings and recommendations to business partners.
• Reviewing the work of less experienced team members for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Enhancing processes for reporting information and insights to clients.
• Providing coaching and guidance on reporting processes and analytical approaches.
• Actively shaping company culture through participation in employee resource groups and volunteering.
• Traveling as needed for role, including divisional/team meetings.
• Fulfilling business needs, which may include investing extra time and helping other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of directly related experience.
• Strong coding and data visualization skills required, with proficiency in tools such as SAS, Snowflake, and Power BI.
• Strong research, statistical, analytical, and mathematical skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated adaptability, organization, and time-management skills.

Requirements

• MBA or other advanced degree in a related field and/or CPCU designation.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance concepts, products, and industry practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic and various structured analysis and design techniques.
