[Hiring] Chief Financial Officer @Centering Healthcare Institute

Role Description

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a mission-aligned, strategic finance executive who brings not only technical expertise and experience building systems, but also thrives in complexity and cares about being a great partner and being a part of advancing health equity. The CFO will help shape and execute CHI’s financial strategy and organizational structure, working alongside the senior executive leadership team.

• Oversee all accounting and compliance functions and lead the Finance team.
• Develop and execute key financial processes focused on growing, scaling, measuring, and articulating CHI’s reach, revenue, and value proposition.
• Lead CHI’s migration process to Sage Intacct.
• Ensure all accounting operations are compliant with GAAP.
• Support financial strategy and leadership as a member of the Executive team.

Qualifications

• 10 years of financial leadership, ideally 5 years as a VP of Finance or CFO level role in finance, FP&A, or Accounting for a national, complex, non-profit organization.
• Proven track record of leading healthy and engaged teams with a commitment to DEI principles.
• Demonstrated experience with reengineering an accounting department and leading systems change.
• Experience leading multi-year finance migrations for nonprofit organizations.
• Some experience with platforms such as bill.com, Sage Intacct, Salesforce, ramp.com, and Concur Expense Management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP, IRS codes, Internal Controls, and financial reporting and analysis.
