Role Description

Coho Construction Management is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer. This remote role requires travel and will support cost estimating and analysis activities to evaluate project budgets, change proposals, and cost impacts. This is a part-time on-call position, estimated at 200 hours of work within six months.

• Prepare or review cost estimates and quantity takeoffs.
• Review contractor cost proposals and change orders.
• Support cost tracking and budget analysis.
• Assist with cost risk and escalation assessments.
• Provide cost-related input to project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing/analyzing cost estimates, preferably for large federal programs.
• Certification as a cost engineer by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), or as a certified professional estimator by the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE).
• Certification (AACE or similar) required.
