Role Description

The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for applying cash to open receivables while ensuring 100% accuracy and maintaining documentation.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Cash Applications Functions
• Work with appropriate 3rd party payment software to ensure payments are processed daily.
• Research and resolve, within assigned scope, payments without posting instructions.
• Reconcile accounts receivable batches to bank deposit.
• As necessary, contact customers regarding payment discrepancies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and coworkers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to AR email.
• Process refunds to client and brokers.
• Process returned payments in 3rd party software and contact client regarding returned payment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Accounting in business or related field required.
• Minimum one year experience of Accounts Receivable cash application preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel required.
