Role Description
The Clinical Budget Analyst will interpret protocols from a financial perspective; develop clinical trial budgets, negotiate pricing, and present budget proposals to executive management. This position is a remote position based in the US; relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available.

Creating new budgets in Excel based upon Sarah Cannon cost and charge information.

Analyzing each clinical trial protocol to provide a detailed counteroffer to the Sponsor's initial budget while meeting established metrics surrounding each budget.

Negotiating budgets with Sponsors/CROs to achieve a favorable overall result for Sarah Cannon, while establishing and maintaining business relationships for future negotiations.

Maintaining and effectively communicating to executive management statuses for all assigned budgets.

Proactively communicating and soliciting input from clinical staff, management, and others to receive timely clarification on protocol specifics, standard of care, billable items, and other nuances affecting the budget.

Qualifications

Bachelorβs Degree required with at least 1 year work experience utilizing basic financial principles, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools.

At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas.

Familiarity with clinical research and/or medical terminology.

Functional knowledge of clinical trials, preferred.

Analytical decision-making skills and project management capabilities.

Strong negotiation and professional communication skills.
