Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will support our financial operations by maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a flexible environment and gain industry-specific knowledge, particularly in short-term rental management.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports promptly and accurately
• Manage bookkeeping tasks using industry-standard tools
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
• Monitor and record all financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Assist with payroll preparation and tax documentation, if applicable
• Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding financial matters
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain confidentiality and data security at all times

Required Bookkeeping Tools Experience

• QuickBooks Online
• Xero
• FreshBooks
• Wave Accounting
• Zoho Books
• Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (advanced proficiency)

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience or relevant financial/accounting background
• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a strong plus, such as:
• Certified Bookkeeper (CB) by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB)
• Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB)
• QuickBooks Certified User
• Any relevant accounting certification or diploma
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
