Role Description
The Billing and Revenue Analyst is responsible for supporting billing accuracy, revenue recognition, and financial reporting related to customer transactions. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, improves billing processes, and provides insights into revenue trends and performance. The Billing and Revenue Analyst will support initiatives that balance operational excellence and technological advancement, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
Key Duties

Billing Operations
-
Support end-to-end billing processes, including invoice generation, validation, and distribution

Review contracts and pricing terms to ensure accurate billing setup

Resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and customer inquiries

Partner with sales, customer success, and operations to ensure alignment on billing terms

Revenue Recognition & Accounting

Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, and accruals

Reconcile billed vs. recognized revenue and investigate differences

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
-
Track and analyze revenue trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Payments Operations & Strategy

Ensure operational processes are streamlined, automated where possible, and scalable to support growth

Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Product, and Operations to implement payment solutions and improvements

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the team

Controls & Compliance

Maintain and improve internal controls over billing and revenue processes

Ensure compliance with audit requirements and support external/internal audits

Document processes, policies, and procedures

Assist with system implementations or upgrades, specifically “Project Lighthouse”
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

Two to five years of experience in accounting, payments or finance operations, preferably in healthcare or technology sectors
