[Hiring] Billing Manager @Steno

Role Description

As a key member of the Billing Team at Steno, you will:

• Own the billing engine, becoming the subject matter expert for the entire organization.
• Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Product on billing systems and tools.
• Identify and fix broken workflows, designing scalable systems and playbooks.
• Navigate jurisdiction-specific billing rules and multi-market rate structures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance operations.
• Experience in legal services, court reporting, or a multi-vendor/two-sided marketplace environment.
• Strong people leadership skills with a focus on building high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in rate cards and vendor compensation models.
• Ability to simplify complex, multi-state processes into clear, scalable workflows.
