Role Description

BerryDunn is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Audit Manager to join our Financial Services Practice Group. In this role, you’ll lead audit, review, compilation, and related engagements for financial services clients while building strong client relationships, coaching developing professionals, and contributing to a collaborative team that values quality, curiosity, and practical problem-solving. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, developing others, and growing their career within a supportive public accounting environment. This position may be based in Waltham, MA; Manchester, NH; New Haven, CT; Bangor, ME; Portland, ME; or remotely.

Travel expectations for this position are minimal, less than 10%.

• Manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements; schedule and coordinate workflow and staffing for projects and engagements.
• Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively.
• Research and analyze financial statements and related issues utilizing electronic databases and employ software to audit, review and compile financial information, as well as possess the ability to document conclusions developed during the engagement.
• Consult, work with, and service clients to make recommendations on business improvement and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to clients.
• Team with Principals and other Senior Managers on proposals and business development activities.
• Supervise, lead, and mentor associates and interns on engagements and assess performance of staff.
• Participate in personal and professional development sessions on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of progressive public accounting experience, preferably with financial services clients (banks, credit unions, broker-dealers, etc.)
• CPA license
• Excellent technical skills, including an understanding of professional rules and regulations
• Highly evolved analytical and problem-solving ability
• Proven supervisory and training success
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
• Excellent communication and client service skills
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and organizational skills

Requirements

• The base salary range targeted for this role is $100,000 - $130,000.
• This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on factors such as company and personal performance.
• This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

• The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
