[Hiring] Associate Senior Fund Accountant @Exceed Human Resource Consultants

Role Description

The work spans asset backed loan portfolios, fund financing facilities and a diverse investor base.

• Prepare shadow NAVs for designated funds and reconcile them to the fund administrator’s NAVs, investigating and resolving differences.
• Maintain loan-level accounting across portfolios, including interest accruals, fees and FX.
• Prepare management and performance fee calculations and reconcile them to the administrator’s figures, for senior review.
• Record fund expenses as part of shadow NAV and reconcile them to fund expenses processed by the administrator.
• Run capital calls and investor drawdowns, and reconcile capital transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, distributions and transfers.
• Agree investor distributions or re-investments as part of the NAV process.
• Manage drawdowns and repayments on the funds’ subscription line and NAV facility, including their use for hedging collateral, and prepare covenant compliance reporting for lenders.
• Provide accurate, timely data to the Investor Solutions team for investor reporting, and respond to ad hoc investor requests, including due diligence questionnaires.
• Lead the annual fund audits for your designated funds.
• Prepare inputs for external tax advisers.
• Prepare annual budgets, monitor actual fund expenses against them and prepare board packs for the funds you’re responsible for.
• Identify and deliver improvements to fund accounting processes using AI tools, scripts and code, working alongside our in-house AI team.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 8+ years’ post-qualification experience.
• Currently working in fund accounting or fund administration.
• Experience of closed- and open-ended fund structures and core fund accounting processes, including NAV production, subscriptions and redemptions, investor allocations and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in private credit or private debt is preferred. Exposure to loan-level accounting or fund financing facilities would be a plus.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, with exposure to Luxembourg GAAP or US GAAP a plus.
• Strong spreadsheet skills in Google Sheets or Excel, and confident, hands-on use of AI tools.
