Role Description
This is a full-time, remote career opportunity. This role supports the origination, execution, and portfolio management of syndicated loan transactions for corporate, commercial real estate, and sponsor-backed clients. The analyst works closely with Relationship Managers, Syndications Originators, Credit, Portfolio Management, and Capital Markets teams to structure, underwrite, market, and close syndicated credit facilities. This role requires strong financial analysis, credit underwriting, market knowledge, and project management skills.
Responsibilities

Transaction Execution
-
Support the structuring and execution of syndicated loan transactions, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and refinancings.

Assist in the preparation of information memoranda, lender presentations, and any other marketing materials.

Coordinate due diligence activities and manage transaction timelines to support successful deal execution.

Work with legal counsel, agents, participating lenders, and internal stakeholders throughout the documentation and closing process.

Review commitment papers, term sheets, and credit agreements to ensure consistency with approved transaction structures.

Financial and Credit Analysis

Analyze historical and projected financial performance of corporate borrowers.

Build and maintain financial models, including leverage, coverage, liquidity, and cash flow analyses.

Evaluate credit risks and identify key business, industry, and transaction considerations.

Prepare underwriting materials and credit approval memoranda for internal credit committees.

Monitor covenant compliance and borrower performance following transaction closing.

Market and Portfolio Support

Monitor syndicated loan market activity, pricing trends, lender appetite, and comparable transactions.

Maintain databases of market intelligence, league tables, and peer transaction information.

Assist in portfolio reviews and portfolio management reporting.

Support relationship teams in evaluating opportunities for cross-sell and ancillary revenue generation.

Client and Lender Interaction

Participate in client meetings, lender calls, and internal deal discussions.

Respond to information requests from prospective lender participants.

Develop working relationships with commercial banks, institutional lenders, and internal business partners.

Provide timely and accurate communication regarding deal status and execution milestones.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field. (Required)

Experience:
-
3 or more years in commercial banking, corporate banking, leveraged finance, credit analysis, portfolio management. (Required)

2 or more years in loan syndications; underwriting and syndicating middle-market or large corporate credit transactions. (Preferred)

Certifications:
Series 7, 63 and 79. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong financial statement analysis and credit underwriting skills. (Required)

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Syndtrak. (Required)

Experience building financial models and performing cash flow analyses. (Required)

Knowledge of syndicated lending structures, loan documentation, and capital markets concepts. (Required)

Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, or similar financial information platforms. (Preferred)
