[Hiring] Associate - ESOP Consulting @Prairie Capital Advisors

Role Description

We are currently seeking an Associate to join our team. This individual will spend most of their time assisting project managers in building Repurchase Obligation scenarios and integrating them into broader Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Sustainability analysis. They will participate in presentations to company leadership and the Board of Directors.

• Manage the repurchase model for sustainability engagements and advise the Project Manager on recommended alternative scenarios.
• Assist in developing/enhancing the repurchase and sustainability model.
• Be able to manage multiple engagements concurrently.
• Assist in developing training materials for ESOP administration, repurchase obligation, and sustainability.
• Represent the practice and Prairie at local and regional ESOP events. Aptitude for building a referral network.
• Develop the ability to present at their local ESOP conferences and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting/economics or related experience in any of the fields. MBA a plus.
• Two to Seven years of experience with financial modeling and/or Repurchase Obligation analysis.
• Good understanding of ESOP Plan Design and compliance testing.
• Strong Excel skills, especially assumption driven models.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Basic understanding of company financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows).
• Experience using AI (Chat GPT, Claude, etc.) a plus.
• Experience with Non-qualified plans (SAR or other Synthetic Equity, etc.) a plus.

• Local office preferred, Remote possible, Travel <10%.
