A Brief Overview:

• Reserve setting production team responsible for various Aetna reserves with the main reserve being IBNR.
• Engages in self-assessment, receives feedback, and works on developing key leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Collaborates with mentors, participates in team projects, and demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional growth.

What you will do:

• Evaluates Run the monthly financial closes where the reserves are set for the Aetna balance sheets.
• Perform studies evaluating reserving methods.
• Digging into models to find drivers of results.
• Set IBNR and presenting on IBNR picks.
• GAAP & Stat reporting.
• Maintaining SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Requirements

• 0-2 years work experience.
• Basic awareness of problem solving and decision making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship or work experience supporting Actuarial functions of an organization or group area.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Experience with Excel, SAS & SQL.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Possess strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Encourage teamwork and a positive environment to improve team effectiveness.
• Be resourceful and can quickly and successfully adapt to change.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $67,980.00 - $135,960.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
