Role Description

Responsible for conducting moderately complex actuarial and statistical analyses to support financial forecasting and decision-making. This role applies advanced knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to perform health-related calculations and modeling. Independently manages assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with organizational objectives. Performs semi-routine actuarial and statistical analyses to estimate financial outcomes and support strategic decision-making across the organization. Building on foundational actuarial skills, this role applies a deeper understanding of mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to conduct health-related calculations, financial modeling, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Services, or related field.
• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Requirements

• Completion of actuarial course exams: Probability Exam, Financial Mathematics Exam, Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics Exam, Statistics of Risk Modeling Exam and Associated Validation by Educational Experience credits from Society of Actuaries.
• Proficiency in Excel and statistical software (SAS, R, Python).
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and time management.
• Solid mathematical background including experience working with risk models, actuarial or mathematical analysis, and using automated or statistical analysis tools.
• Knowledge of advanced analytic tools and other business intelligence tools.
