[Hiring] Accounts Receivable Specialist @BHS

Role Description

Baptist Health is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN.

Under the direction of the PFS Supervisors and Managers for the Hospital and Medical Group, the specialist is responsible for duties related to the Centralized Billing Office, which could include:

• Supporting Revenue Cycle by ensuring accurate and timely daily posting of all third-party and patient payments as well as adjustments to patient accounts.
• Daily entry, reconciliation, electronic data interchange, and analysis of all activity between the bank lockboxes and the patient accounting system.
• Detailed analysis and critical thinking to ensure accurate balances are reflected on accounts.
• Determining what is necessary to correct an account if not matching remittances.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certificate required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a large, high volume fast paced hospital or Ambulatory/Provider Billing/Follow-up or cash management is preferred.
• 1-2 years Epic experience preferred.
• Proficient with standard Windows applications (e.g., MS Office application suite, advanced skilled using MS Excel functions).
• High level proficiency in use of basic computer applications (e.g., Internet Explorer, word processing, email applications).
• Advanced keyboarding skills.
• Availability: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
