Role Description
The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor account reconciliations, while supporting general ledger activities and month-end close. This role partners closely with internal departments to deliver high-quality financial services, maintain strong controls, and drive process improvement.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (approximately 60%)

Responsible for providing superior service to departments for accounts payable processing and analysis.

Assist departments in invoice coding ensuring that proper G/L accounts, departments, and projects are utilized.

Confirm invoices are validated, align with the approved contract, and include appropriate documentation.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Work in conjunction with the Treasury Manager to ensure timely payments of the Companyβs vendors by achieving or exceeding targets for accounts payable.

General Ledger/Accounting (approximately 30%)

Complete the analysis and accrual of unpaid invoices and un-invoiced completed services relating to the current accounting period.

Assist with month-end closing activities and annual audit.

Reconcile G/L accounts with a follow-up task of posting general journal entries as needed.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Maintain Finance SharePoint structure mapping file.

Pinpoint issues needing improvement and develop a potential solution for implementation after team/manager discussion.
Qualifications
-
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems.

1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting or finance experience.

Degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word.
