[Hiring] Accounting Operations & Bookkeeping Specialist @The Feed

Role Description

The Feed Media is looking for an exceptionally organized Accounting Operations & Bookkeeping Specialist to take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role, responsible for:

• Ensuring clients are invoiced correctly
• Collecting money owed to us
• Paying vendors appropriately
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date books

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting operations, AR/AP, or similar experience
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Experience with bank and credit-card reconciliations
• Understanding of the mechanics of AR, AP, and month-end bookkeeping
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Relentless follow-through until issues are resolved
• Clear and professional communication with clients
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and large amounts of financial data
• Ability to spot discrepancies in numbers and investigate
• Excellent written and spoken English

Requirements

• Strong preference for candidates who have worked with a US-based company
• Experience in an agency, professional-services firm, or similar company with client invoicing
• Managed billing where invoices vary month-to-month
• Experience with Mercury and/or Stripe

Benefits

• $1,000–$1,500 USD per month (approximately R16,000–R24,000 ZAR), depending on experience and capability
• This is a full-time, long-term remote position working with a US-based company
• Compensation is paid monthly in USD
