[Hiring] Accounting Clerk @Rooted Talents

Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks across multiple businesses. This role requires someone who is highly organized, comfortable working with financial data, and experienced in maintaining accurate records within QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The ideal candidate understands how to reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and ensure financial data is complete and properly documented. You will work closely with leadership to support ongoing accounting operations, helping maintain clean books and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.

• Review and reconcile asset/inventory records to ensure balances are accurately maintained and adjusted as required
• Review financial transaction records to verify that receipts and payments are properly recorded and aligned with supporting documentation
• Reconcile subsidiary records to source documents to ensure consistency and completeness across all ledgers
• Record and adjust revenue entries in the accounting system (QuickBooks Online), including the proper recognition and reclassification of customer deposits
• Book and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate recording across all related entities
• Perform monthly reviews of the general ledger to ensure all accounts are accurate, complete, and in good standing
• Provide general bookkeeping, data entry, and accounting support as needed

Qualifications

• Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial record management
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial data
• Comfortable working across multiple entities and handling different sets of books
• Organized and able to manage repetitive, detail-heavy tasks with accuracy
• Ability to work independently and maintain consistency in financial records

Requirements

• Experience supporting businesses in construction, solar, HVAC, or similar industries
• Experience with inventory or asset reconciliation
• Familiarity with intercompany accounting processes
