[Hiring] Accountant Ops Controllership – Domain Trainee – Italian @BrightClaim

Role Description

As an Advanced Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting more senior accountants and performing and reviewing basic accounting entries. At this level, you will be expected to explain variations in accounts and work with auditors on process improvements. You will follow an individual work plan and meet day-to-day short-term objectives.

• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Prepare and review journal entries ensuring compliance with local accounting procedures and US GAAP
• Drive the timely preparation of assigned journal entries, increasing efficiency
• Prepare periodic balance sheet analysis
• Engage with auditors to answer questions regarding control processes and account reconciliations
• Manage daily treasury operations including cash positioning, liquidity planning, bank reconciliations, and ensuring optimal cash flow to support business needs
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations ensuring accuracy, timely settlement, and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
• Monitor and reconcile inventory balances ensuring accurate valuation, timely adjustments, and compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Oversee the Fixed Asset register and Finance Master Data to ensure proper capitalization, accurate depreciation, high-quality data maintenance, and adherence to internal policies and accounting standards
• Participate in the preparation of statutory financial reports according to local GAAP standards (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
• Participate in the preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with applicable tax regulations
• Manage the Month-End Closing (MEC) process ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
