Role Description

You'll handle day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of UK clients — transaction coding, bank reconciliation, VAT preparation, and monthly management accounts. You'll work closely with senior accountants and be the person who keeps the books clean.

• Code and categorise transactions in Xero or QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank accounts weekly and resolve discrepancies
• Process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and expense claims
• Support VAT return preparation and filing
• Prepare monthly management accounts for senior review

Qualifications

• Solid double-entry bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
• Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Accurate and deadline-driven
• Good written English for client-facing work

Requirements

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or studying towards any of these (nice to have)
• Experience with UK VAT and payroll (nice to have)
• Background in an accounting practice environment (nice to have)
