Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who can manage day-to-day accounting responsibilities for our small business. The ideal candidate is confident handling financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes, and communicating directly with auditors and other financial professionals.

• Manage day-to-day accounting and financial records
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation
• Prepare financial reports and schedules
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Review financial records for accuracy and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
• Communicate directly and confidently with auditors
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and other accounting functions
• Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accountant or similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience supporting or working directly with external auditors
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and spoken English
• Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel
• Accounting qualification or relevant degree/diploma preferred

Benefits

• CAD 2,000 per month, approximately R23,576 per month, depending on the prevailing exchange rate.
• The salary will be paid in Canadian dollars, so the ZAR equivalent may fluctuate slightly based on currency movements.
