[Hiring] Accountant @RESA Power

Role Description

• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations and detailed analysis of balance sheet accounts, including researching differences between general ledger balances and supporting schedules.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
• Prepare monthly sales commission calculations and related journal entries.
• Assist with monitoring intercompany balances, preparing eliminations, and reconciling intercompany accounts across multiple entities.
• Assist with preparing journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and other recurring corporate-level adjustments.
• Assist with external audit and tax requests, ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
• Assist with treasury activities such as daily reconciliations of cash accounts.
• Partner with other departments to support process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects.
• This position is 100% remote.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Applicable experience includes each of the following skills:
• Accounting in corporate or multi-entity environments.
• Accounting in ERP system Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
• Accounting in accordance to US GAAP in key areas including ASC 606 (revenue recognition), ASC 360 (accounting for property, plant and equipment), ASC 470 (debt recognition and measurement), ASC 405 (general accruals).
• Planning and monitoring spending, budgets and forecasted amounts.

• Travel: 0-5%
• Location: 100% Remote - Reports into the Corporate Headquarters in Houston, TX
• Physical Demands: Occasionally lifting 25lbs. Position sits completing computer and phone work.
