Role Description

We are looking for an experienced, meticulous and problem-solving General Ledger (GL) Accountant ready to assume a high-impact role in our growing team. The GL Accountant will be responsible for timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing using Oracle Fusion. In this role, the GL Accountant will handle the full set of accounts for assigned countries, refine the existing closing process, identify and improve on inefficiencies in our day-to-day activities and contribute to internal projects. This role is based in the Shared Service Center in the Philippines. Temporary Work from Home Arrangement with company provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting graduate
• At least 5 years of experience
• Understanding of accounting concepts and knowledge of international accounting standards
• Demonstrated attention to detail, time management skills, ability to prioritize, and adapt to change
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in ERP accounting software such as Oracle Fusion

Requirements

• Prepare journal entries (revenue, fixed assets, intercompany, payroll, prepayment, provisions, accruals etc)
• Arrange monthly intercompany recharges, confirmations, and settlements
• Maintain fixed assets register
• Complete monthly bank reconciliation and investigate any unusual reconciling item
• Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules, reconciliations and analysis and investigate any unusual item
• Prepare monthly/quarterly GST/VAT/WHT reporting and reconciliation report
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements for assigned entities
• Prepare corporate tax information organiser for tax agent to complete tax computation and filing
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors on requests and queries for the annual audit
• Ensure compliance to company policies and develop/document new procedures and controls
• Assist Group Finance on any ad-hoc assignments
